We love hearing about the lifelong friendships and wonderful memories that our Contiki passengers make when they travel with us. Occasionally, something special crosses our desks and we are so excited to share it with all of you – like this wonderful story from Pete Sollecito of his friends, soon-to-be-married couple Jillian Dunn and Joe Gentile!
Joe, a native of Philadelphia, graduated from the University of Delaware. Jill, hailing from New York, is a graduate of Penn State University – and as luck would have it, both planned and went on this Contiki to celebrate graduating college.
They met on Contiki’s European Whirl in June of 2005, each accompanied with their own group of friends. The tour took them through London, Amsterdam, Rhine Valley, Munich, Vienna, Switzerland, Venice, Florence, Rome, and Paris. Fast forward nearly 6 years since their first meeting and they’re getting married in Huntington, NY on August 20, 2011 – with the original eight friends who met during the Contiki trip participating in the wedding party as bride, groom, groomsmen and bridesmaids! Talk about lifelong friendships!
Jill and Joe’s friends wanted to make this moment extra special and asked Contiki to help with this shout-out! So, for Jillian and Joe….
