Very rarely do we travel and bring back souvenirs that can easily be purchased in our home town. Many of the travelers we feature on our “10 Contiki Questions” often mention purchasing an item that represents their travels – and can only be found where they traveled to.
Tourism supports the local economy and local businesses. Whether it is a local Mom n’ Pop coffee shop (you can always get Starbucks when you return stateside!) or a “Made in Berlin” stand at the Berlin flea market, you’re bound to find something unique to take home with you – and you will have helped the local economy in the process!
Need some inspiration for your local shopping experiences? This week’s episode of FAWN’s Wanderlust: Central Europe features Rachel Talbott and Theodore Leaf meeting up with a local YouTuber in Berlin, who takes them to the Berlin flea market for some unique shopping finds.
