Paying for optionals

Hey Guys! I'm off to the the 25 Days Camping tour on September 4th, and then the Great Britain & Ireland after.
I'm wondering how the optionals are paid on the camping tour, as the currencies are different for some optionals. For E.g, I need 130 Swiss Francs for the Swiss Alps, but need Euro for most other activities. Are the optionals paid on the day or all in bulk (this is what I did in the USA). So if I want 100 Swiss Francs to spend while in Switzerland, should I get 230 Swiss Francs?
