Suitcase Size?

Me, being the retard that I am bought the maximum for luggage, the big 29". And it just passes the measurements. From what I've seen on baggage topics, Contiki is very strict. How many problems do you think I will have with this piece of luggage? Should I just return it and get smaller? I'm going on the Tuscany trip, and after that, I'm taking the Eurorail, chunnel, and ferry to Dublin Ireland, probably a taxi or two as well. So I figured I'd need a alot of clothing considering the weather changes. Any advice?
