Greek Islands Backpackers? / Solo?

Hey everyone,
Im thinking of furthering my tour and doing the greek islands, so far its just me on my own. I was wondering if there are many hostels on the island where its easy to meet ppl? Or does everyone suggest to try and do it with a friend instead of going solo?

i cant give you advise but i am going to the greek islands in august on my own after my tour. so your not the only one. a friend of mine said it was easy to find accommodation and if you want to get a job behind the bar its real easy.
