Daypack, Money belt or shoulder bag???

Just wondering with these tours what happens with your backpack during the day when you are touring around?
Also for the day trips when your out exploring the city- what is best to carry with you?
Should i be using a small daypack, a money belt or a shoulder bag from say pacsafe???? Or all 3?
I'd want to have my money, cards, passport & camera with me at all times but unsure what sort of bag to take if we went out for the night?
