Clothes in the cold wet weather!!

I'm going on the Simply Italy tour on the 14th of Jan and was wondering what kind of pants i should wear. I want to wear jeans but then i thought they would get wet, you know like when it's raining and your jeans get soaked right up to your knees! I have some skinny leg jeans but i don't know if they would be any good.
