the tube

when i arrive in the uk i will spend two nights with a family friend who lives just outside of london. now i think what will happen on the day before my tour begins is that i will catch a train to waterloo station and then i'll take the tube to russell square as this seems like the most efficient means of getting there.

my question is with regards to what happens when someone boards the tube with a large backpack or suitcase? obviously after events of about 2 years ago i'm assuming security must be quite tight downthere. so what would happen if i go down there with my backpack?

    Hey Nibbs
Good to see another kiwi posting on here, Dont worry a bit about it everyone carries bags and that on the tube its no problem. Especially the Piccadily line from Heathrow heaps of suit cases and Bags. I had a huge Suitcase it was a real hassle when I arrived in London couple Months ago carting it around.

But Like I said dont think twice about it !!
