Can anyone recommend a good converter/adapter? I have been looking for one, and alot of them are really really heavy..which stinks to travel with! Also, most of the converter say for irons, hair dryers, ...do you need a special one, to charge your camera battery, video camera battery, the ceramic chi flat irons ( i know my friend has one of those good flat irons) so was wondering if you need a speical one for things of that nature?
Please help!
Thanks in advance for any advice!

I have a 50watt voltage converter from radioshack that I’ve used in Europe, Egypt, and Australia. It works fine, but the electronics don’t fully charge as they would in the US, but you still get about 75% full. Also, keep in mind that a lot of electronics are made now to work on any voltage like some camera’s and cell phones, so you might not need a charger for everything.
Every converter I’ve seen is heavy, I guess the conversion process is tricky.- 0 people like this
