looking for australian friends and infos

Hi travellers from all over the world! (and in particular from Australia!) I'm Letizia. I wondered whether this could be an instrument to contact the Australian guys my friend Ilaria and I met the night of 4august in Nice,at Wayne's bar.. I stupidly forgot to ask them how we could keep in touch. I remember that the next day they would have moved to Monaco. The tour started from London and between the stages of their trip around Europe there were Pisa, Florence, Venice, Munich.. (I forgot all the others! but I can remember that the last one would have been London again..) Their names were Tom (Thomas?) and Aiden/Hayden (?) don't know how to write it.. if anybody could help me, the effort would be appreciated! 
Anyway, after graduating I'll make a trip to Australia.. in which period do you think it's better to have it? ..any must see places to suggest? peculiar zones to visit?
I could give you advices about Italy if you're interested in it.
