I would love to do some other tours, there was a North by Northeast I stumbled upon but it’s not available atm, and I only have a 2 week bracket to go away in as I’m a teacher. Might try do a longer tour over the summer hols when it’s winter in the US and really exciting with all the snow and stuff. yes it does seem sill to go twice so quickly but I can’t wait for pretty much a whole year to go away, I want to go there asap!

How old are you and your friend..and you guys or girls?

    Hi Guys.

Myself and 3 friends will be on this trip as well. We’ll be arriving in NY after doing the European Escapade. We’re then heading to LA to do the LA Scene, LA to the Bay and Hawaii.

We’re all from Sydney and will range from 24 to 30 y.o. at the time of the tour.

I did this tour myself 2.5 years ago and think it is the best way to see NY price wise. It has changed a little since I did it, like the Empire State building at dusk instead of the middle of the day. My friends haven’t been to NY though and I was happy to do it again.

Aquathest, If you can afford it, I recommend the Grand Northern tour in the USA. I did that 2.5 years ago as well and thought it was fantastic.

Megemite, You’ll have to tell me what you thought of the Grand Southern when you do it cause I have every intention of getting back to the States after this next holiday to see the southern part of North America.I have heard it is great as well.

Feel free to email me at jen130478@optusnet.com.au.

Hi Jen, look forward to meeting you on the trip. I agree it does look like great value for money. I originally wanted to do some of the LA tours after the BAE but they weren’t going to fit into school holidays so that’s why I’ve done my holiday they way I have.

The Grand Northern looks good, also interested in the Wild Western. I think I’d have to leave Eurpoe for a few years to come.

I’m a bit concerned about going to Hawaii by myself, just that I might get bored by myself since there’s no actual organised tour, they just provide accomodation. And it’s not like anyone from the BAE will be going to Hawaii the Monday after the BAE finishes…but should be interesting anyway.

Wonder if any men are coming on this trip or if it’s going to be a tour of girls??!!

    Hi.

To answer queries, there will be at least one bloke on this tour. I’d be ok with it if I was the only one…but doubt it. Usually there’s about a 60/40 split between guys and girls. As for Hawaii, it’s very laid back and friendly, heaps of Aussies in Waikiki and since everyone’s a traveller most are happy to chat. I met a very nice girl from Brissie on the bus tour to Pearl Harbor. Didn’t get her number, but that’s life.

I’m booked on this tour after the end of the Eastern Discovery tour the previous day, saw it as a really good way to see NY. I’ve been to LA, San Diego and Las Vegas, want to see what NY is like after hearing good things from friends and family. It’s a case of wanting to share the experience. As was said in the movie Kenny, there are times you need someone there with you just to say “did you see that?”

Hi I’ve just booked on this tour. I am arriving in NYC on the 22nd and Contiki have no rooms left at the Marrkech. I have booked a room direct so if anyone else is in the same boat and wants to share let me know – it’ll make it a lot cheaper.

I am doing the Wild Western first and finishing in San Fran to connect with the BAE.
