Hand Bag for Day Bag??

21 Apr 2007 BecciW asked

Hi everyone,

Sorry to add to the overkill of this subject but am thinking of buying a very large (very cute) handbag for my 'day pack' along with my main suitcase and a much smaller handbag/purse for nights out and touring. The larger hand bag would fit everything I need for the 2 day flight/journey over could be left on the bus with book, jacket etc in it while I use the smaller hand bag with passport, camera, wallet etc in it.

I will be working in London after my tour and think maybe a large hand bag would be more versatile than a backpack or minute bag. Also would look less like a 'tourist'.

Has anyone done this before and how did it work out for you? Would a backpack or minute bag be more practical?

Thanks in advance for your advice
