The British High Commission has a good website on visa applications. Details on how to apply can be found here.
You can make the application online, but have to make an appointment for biometric information to be taken for the visa. According to the website, visas take about 28 days.

Hi Madison
I am doing the same thing as you. i live in July so i understand your stress this the website you need to go to
http://ukinaustralia.fco.gov.uk/en/visas/.
Depending on how long you want to go for and how old you are, is to which visa you apply for. For me the best option is the youth mobility scheme. to be able to apply for this you need to be between 18 – 30, be an australian, have in an account with 1600 pound (thats about $3333 aussie) to prove dependence. This website is just on the youth mobility scheme all the details you need to apply and what supporting evidence you need. http://bia.homeoffice.gov.uk/workingintheuk/tier5/youthmobilityscheme/
You need to apply for all visa’s online which is a pain in the ass cos if you want to ask a question its going to cost you (something stupid like $7 a minute)I have my appointment this friday so if you hang till then i can give you more info, to get this visa is about $224.- 0 people like this
