My trip is getting closer and closer and I am so stoked to get back to the states... just for a bit of fun I was wondering whats the craziest food you have heard of or eaten when you where in America?
I recently heard of a luther burger which is apprently a double cheese burger with bacon and you use crispy creme original glaze doughnuts as the bun
Cheers

well, my aunt and uncle live near Whangarei, so I’ll be touring around there with them for a bit, no real set plans though. Then I’m taking the Scenic Southern tour with Contiki.
I’m pretty excited, a little nervous as I’m going alone, but I’m sure it will be a blast!
Thanks for the well wishes!!- 0 people like this

Thanks Christoff, I will get to spend a few days in Canada so look forward to trying some yummy things there as well
If you end up in the part of Canada called Montreal, Quebec there is a diner all over called La Belle Province, where you must try a Smoke Meat Poutine, as if Poutine was not offensive enough.- 0 people like this

You should really just check out Man Vs Food for the ultimate pig out / enjoyment in US cuisine haha Brilliant show haha!!
When I was there I had the largest serving of BBQ Pork Ribs; hand cut fries; Corn on the Cob and Corn Bread. YUM!! Topped off with a cocktail the size of my head!
I was also a MASSIVE fan of Pulled Pork burgers – I’d go back for one of those bad boys haha!- 0 people like this

There is so much food in the US its not funny. Every city usually has its own specialties.
Deep Fried Twinkies are at Mermaids in Vegas. You will probably go there because they are known for their huge frozen drinks.
They are soooo delicious!!!
I love everything what is fried…- 0 people like this

I’m from Canada, and I’ve never heard that we like french fries in ice cream, that just sounds repulsive to me. But Timmies is great, they recently added more specialty drinks. Poutine Is a must. Beaver Tails as well. also Deep Fried Pickles are an interesting choice.

I’m from Montreal, Canada. If ever you guys are in Montreal and want to try poutine, La Banquise or Poutineville are a must! you can have any kind of french fry (Sweet potato, regular, country cut…) any kind of toppings (grilled zucchini, smoked meat, bacon, onions, hot peppers etc.) Beaver tails are excellent! I personally enjoy the “plain” one which is just coated with cinnamon sugar, but I’ve always been temped by the nutella / banana one.
Personally, I enjoy McDonalds french fries dipped in their Vanilla soft serve Ice cream, but I’m weird like that… we don’t all do it… I actually know of 1 person from my entourage who likes it as well.
hmmm… I love pickles, but I’m not a fan of deep-fried pickles… way to salty for me.
Twinkies my friends aren’t produced anymore so unless the restaurant makes their own, you probably won’t find them anymore.
Hope I helped just a tad :-)
enjoy your trips everyone :-)- 0 people like this
