Oxford street is well known not because it is filled with only expensive boutique stores but because it a great strip of shops.
You can do some cheap (By normal UK standards…but not if you from SA like i am) shops with good clothes like Topshop.
I never came across any ‘big, traditional shopping centres’ like i have back at home – space is at a premium and strip shops (thats strip as in line…) and depaprtment stores are how you shop there.
So Oxford street is a good place to start – Try New Look / H&M / Topshop / Next for reasonable prices
The street even has its own website: http://www.oxfordstreet.co.uk- 0 people like this

There is a large Westfield in London. This can be accessed on the tube by either going to Shepherds Bush, White City or Wood Lane. It’s clearly sign posted from all stops.

Takes no time at all to get to and has all types of shops.- 0 people like this
