Hi there,
I just found my Oh **** Sheet from when i went on LA to the Bay which is part of the Wild Western, so they are: San Diego – Days Inn Suites (very nice hotel, doesnt look like much on the outside but nice inside), Phoenix – Courtyard Marriott Scottsdale (this hotel is BEAUTIFUL….VERY, VERY NICE), Grand Canyon – The Maswik Lodge, Bass Lake – The Pines Resort (this is where you stay when you got to Yosemite), Carpinteria – Best WEstern Carpinteria Inn.
HOpe that helps ! yeah…so the Phoenix hotel – UNREAL….def the best hotel on the list….very, very hot thou in Phoenix but one of the best places in my opinion that we went to !

Hey Dani,
Yeah Vegas isnt great….i was glad that we spent only minimal time there thats for sure ! Just felt a bit grubby or something ? and i think also it doesnt help that when you drive into Vegas all the casinos and hotels are huge and fantastic looking and then you see the contiki hotel – is just 2 floors, run down looking on the side of the road. We are doing the Grand Southern next year and are thinking about staying at the MGM Grand, its diagonal across from the contiki hotel – about a 5 min walk and its pretty reasonable. We are mainly doing that cause we have stayed in the contiki hotel and just want to experience a casino – know what i mean ? but in saying that – the Grand Canyon place is a bit off too – i reckon on par with vegas….but the sheets and bathrooms were clean in all the rooms and thats the main thing ! In the end its up to you what you do, some people say it isnt that bad, others say its shocking, so its a personal opinion i guess in the end – but vegas was def was the worst out of the lot on the the LA to the Bay.- 0 people like this

hey
i did the wild western in april, and had a great time, some of the hotels where a bit different to when u stayed mel. we didn’t stay in the marriot when in phoenix not sure of the hotel but was quite nice, nor the lodge at Yosemite, we actually stayed in this little town called marposa when near yosemite and all most got evicted (thats another story) but nice place, and i guess as you’ve probably read about the place in vegas you can make up ur own mind. but try to remember that all of the group stays there the bus leaves from there and the TM generally won’t wait 4 u if ur not there on time! its just a bed a ur not moving in.
hope this helps Daz- 0 people like this
