Suggested times for booking galleries

Anybody recently done a tour and can suggest times for a few cities on the likely best time of day to visit galleries/museums.
For example: the second day in florence has a walking tour. would be good to know a good time to pre book a gallery.
a rough guide fresh in someones mind would be great.

I think its the paris museum pass
I’ve bought tix for accademia and uffizi in florence for 12:15 and 3:15 on the second day in flornce.
Got a vatican tour reservation for 12 midday on the day in rome. So hopefully these will work out as ok times. If not, oh well..
