Booking through a travel agent --saves you money

I thought I was good through my searches finding a flight from Philadelphia to Cairns for only $2100 (average flights I saw were about $2300usd). When I went to visit my travel agent, she was able to get the same flights or $1650. They charge $20 to book, but it's still a savings of $430.
So if you are hesitant on whether or not to book through a travel agent, do the research on your own, if they can get it for a cheaper price --use theirs. Otherwise just tell them no thanks and book on your own.
