  Gavin, last time i went to Europe, i did a 37 day tour. I took ten thousand dollars worth of travellers cheques and only spent about 7 or 8 thousand of it. I’m only planning to take 10 with me this time and have a little in reserve if needed.

  I have budgeted for roughly 60 euro a day(as a friend told me, who regularly goes to europe.) plus extra for the optional activities the tour offers.

  Not really a big spender. That money was in Australian dollars. So after doing every optional extra and paying for them in the local currency and then buying souveniers and food and drinks and things i might need like toiletries, it all added up and with the currency conversion, it add up.

  I’ll be staying at the Royal National the 3 nights leading up to our tour.
  I’ll also stay there the night the tour ends. I’ve booked myself to stay at the Generator Hostel via their web site, 3 nights after that.
