Reefs and Rainforests Jan 2008

I am going on the Reefs and Rainforests tour in January. What should I pack? What type of clothing do I need? What optional excursions do you recommend? Whats the best way to get from the airport to the hotel in Cairns?

As far as what to pack in January I wouldn’t know as I went in July which was winter time, but as far as getting to the hotel from the airport, if you are staying at the Cairns Colonial Club Resort, they have a free airport shuttle you could call once you get out of customs. Oh, and as for the optionals I would recomment the Reef in Cairns, White Water Rafting, Dracula;s Cabaret, and the Crocodile Farm.

    Hi Deadan,
Im from Australia and i can tell you January is often our hottest month, so in Queensland expect temperatures between 30-35 most days, sometimes hotter. But in Northern Queensland it is also quite wet that time of year, so expect some rain too.
    Hope that helps you pack!
