I'm looking at being in the USA for just over 2 months before my contiki starts.
I was wondering if anyone could recommend car rental companies - I will be 20 when I come over, and am looking at going from LA to Pierre, South Dakota (so want to be able to return it in SD).
Or would it be a better idea at the end to drive from Pierre to LA (I'll be turning 21 while over there, so on the way back will be 21).

well you have to be 21 to hire a vehicle..and there is also a surcharge for drivers between the 21 and 25 years. There’s lots of companies though. Alamo, Budget, Avis, Hertz, Dollar Rent..to name a few
