Question

Germany to London??

12 Jan 2007 Bliss Madonna asked

I will be travelling from Germany to London before the Contiki tour and am just wondering if anyone out there knows the best method and the cost for doing so. Am I better flying from Germany into London or catching the train? Any advice would be great! <img src="http://connect.contiki.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif" alt="Smiler" width="15" height="15"><!--graemlin::)-->

Hi, I’m living in Germany at the mo and it is vey easy to fly to London. Most big cities have an airport or one close by. Check out: airberlin.com, germanwings.com, ryanair.com, easyjet.com.
I think that you could probably find a whole heap more budget airlines. But remember that most of them don’t fly to Heathrow, they go to Stansted and Luton.
I looked into taking the train and it is comparativly more expensive and it takes a lot longer. I don’t think that is really worth it unless you want to see the European country side.

    Hope it helps G

Hey thanks G. Yeah considering that I won’t have a whole heap off time I will probably end up flying over. Thanks for the tip though!
