  I believe it’s about an hour and a half flight between those two cities.
  
  What other cities are you looking at and how do you want to travel between?
  
  You can always use google maps and pick two points in the cities and see how far it is to get an idea.
  
  San Fran isn’t too far by plane, San Diego is a couple hours by car. You could drive up to Santa Barbara, an hour or two from LA. It really depends on where you want to go or what type of stuff you want to see.
