London Heathrow Terminals

Hi everybody
I am extremely confused and starting to freak out a little. After doing 'egypt and the nile' i am going to do the tour of Southern Ireland. I am on the following flights:
- Cairo to Madrid
- Madrid to London
- London to Dublin
all in the same day
The flight into London arrives at Terminal 2, the flight out of london departs from terminal 1.
Do i have to collect my baggage at Heathrow? Will i be in transit? I am extremely worried. I am worried that with so many flights, my luggage won't be at Dublin when I'm there. I'd prefer to collect it myself.. Am i able to do this?
