Glacier toilet question
25 Jun 2009 Sweetjodie said
I really doubt it, as it is a giant frozen river, but really, what happens if you need to pee? 4 hours is a long time!!
Anyone who has been on one, I would love to hear your experiences...

I did the hike up there a few years ago instead of the helicopter and tbh didn’t need the toilet so I didn’t really think about it at the time but now that I do, no there are no toilets up there but a lot of bushland so i guess if you’re desperate……… :P

haha definetly – its like hiking. I hated using a shovel to dig a hole and squat..ew gross memories. Oh well you gotta do what you gotta do. Plenty of tissues or toilet paper – bring a whole roll i say! Haha ill definetly be grabbing the one from the hotel room bathroom before i do this optional extra on the tour.

I went in December last year and honesty, you wont need to bring anything, just go before you head out! And although there is bush, its still pretty open. Don’t stress, its such an awesome hike just enjoy it!
