===================
Contiki strikes out the air taxes
To support the launch of its new Winter Europe program, Contiki will be “Striking Out the Air Taxes” on land and air bookings from the new brochure that are booked by Sept. 24, 2008. Contiki’s new Winter Europe 2008-2009 brochure features 20 itineraries ranging in duration from 6 to 26 days. The operator’s product lineup includes multi-country tours, regional tours of Spain, Italy, Egypt, and Eastern Europe and a Ski and Snowboard program in the Austrian Alps.

Contiki is offering a promotional airfare of $329 (roundtrip) from Toronto to London in conjunction with qualifying winter Europe tours. Low fares are available from other major Canadian Gateways as well, including $329 from Montreal, $479 from Vancouver and $609 from Edmonton. In keeping with the theme of the promotion, Contiki will pick up ALL the applicable taxes including GST, PST, security charges and airport fees.

The itineraries eligible for the promotion will include all tours in the Winter Europe brochure starting and ending in London between Sept. 2, 2008 and April 1, 2009.

Contiki's European Ski and snowboard program is based at the operator’s very own ski chalet in the Austrian town of Hopfgarten. The program offers accommodation, breakfast daily, equipment rental and a 7-day lift pass all for under $1,000 per person.
