Clothing for New York in January

26 Dec 2009 Jevon said

I'm visiting New York for the first time next month just wondering what type of clothing I should pack. I know it's going to be very cold but I would like some advice for people who have been before.

I would say just jeans, a pair of long johns (for if it is cold and you’ll be outside a lot). Then just layer your tops depending on temps, your outer layer and how much you’ll be outside.

Just to give you an idea of the weather right now – a high of 47 degrees today (Sunday) and on Tuesday the high is supposed to be 28 degrees. Those are in Fahrenheit.
