Question
Athens to Corfu.. and where to stay before and after?

Also, we're going to do the Corfu explorer straight afterwards, and arent sure of the best way to get to Corfu from Athens!
Any advice would be greatly appreciated!!!

The Athens backpackers is a great hostel if your looking for something cheap. It’s in a location right next to the Acropolis and near the metro so you can get there from anywhere in the city. If your looking for a hotel, the Dorian Inn is the one contiki uses and I found it quite nice. There is a roof bar with an excellent view of the Acropolis also. In my opinion the hostel is the way to go though. I made a lot of friends there and it was cheap!
