Night before tour starts meeting

I have read that there is a 6-7pm meeting in the contiki basement the night before the tour starts?
I have a much later flight into UK and will definately not be there along with my travelling companion.
Am i going to miss anything super important? are there things i will need to know from this meeting? Will there be a handout or info book i miss out on?
