Should I buy an unlocked phone (prefer it to be a blackberry...) to use with an international sim card? I want to use calling cards on the phone too so wondering what sim is best to do this and do i have to put credit on the phone even though I'm using a calling card???

When i was travelling in the US I took my phone from home (Australia)and just brought a cheap pre-paid sim from one of the big companies to put in it. Most of the big companies have some sort of International call deal, I just went into an electronics store and they showed me a few deals on differant networks until i found one that suited me best.
