Laptop

Im going on my first contiki tour in November this year im doing the best of the usa. Just wondering would it be worthwhile taking my laptop with me or not? Do many people usually take their laptop?

I took my netbook last time. I used it for sending emails back home and uploading my photos along the way. I didn’t have anything else important on it shouldanthing had happened to it plus I had valuables insurance that covered me taking it overseas. It just depends on whether you are happy to take such a valuable item with you.

It’s funny the tour I did in 2006 I think 1 or 2 people had laptops. My last tour I did in the fall at least 15 people had laptops. If you have a big clunky one with important data on it, I wouldn’t bring it, too much risk of losing it or breaking it. If you’re just looking to do some emails on it then an iphone (or any smart phone) or itouch would be sufficient.
