Croatian sailing trip
10 Apr 2011 Explorer1148935 asked
Hi everyone,
I'm thinking of booking a Croatian sailing trip in July, but I'd like some further information than what I can see on the website.
What are the advantages of Contiki over other companies? They seem more expensive but have a similar amount included!
What are the cabins like? Bunk beds? Air conditioning? Ensuite?
What are the communal areas of the boat like and how much space is there? Are you squashed in like sardines on the sun deck or is there a lot of space?
What time do you usually get into port each day and is there time to explore before dinner?
What happens for dinner, is a group excursion organised or do people just go off exploring in their own little groups?
Hope someone can answer, thanks very much :)

Are you thinking of doing the July 30th one? I’ve just booked it up.
Had never done anything like it before but we had some American exchange girls come and stay over the Easter break 2011 and they had all been travelling usign Contiki and highly recommended it so i heard about it through that. The cabins on the trip I’m doing (the island crusie) are all ensuite twin share some are bunk beds and other rooms are just two single beds. Communal area’s – Sun deck and lots of space for eating. For dinner I don’t know on the days that the boat is providing dinner I think you stay on the boat to eat but can off exploring in groups whichever town they are moored at for nightlife, bars .etc.Hope that helps the webiste which has some better pictures of the boat is here: http://www.katarina-line.com/gallery/category/6-.html
It was featured on a programme called Vaccation, Vaccation, Vaccation and I found the link on their website! :)- 0 people like this
