do we need to pay for transportation from hamilton island to long island?

im doing the magical tropics tour in january 2008 and i was just informed that we need to pay for a BLUE FERRIE to take me from hamilton island to long insland.. i was never told by contiki that hamilton island was far from long island and we have to pay for $45 us dollars one way(close to $100 us dollars round trip) im doing the land and air with contiki.. will contiki pay for my transfers from hamilton island to long island?? and how far is hamilton island to long island??
