The warmer temperatures are towards to top of the North Island, and as you travel further South the temperatures will drop. So it wise to pack some warm clothing, and a wet weather jacket.

  i went in may and you needed a winter coat for sure. sneakers were find and mitts and scarfs are a little much but you will be glad you have a coat
