Paying for optionals?

Hi, I was just wondering, for paying the local payment as well as for optionals does it have to be USD cash? or can it be by credit card? are some of the optionals payed in local currency? I'm just trying to figure out how much USD i will need to take with me.

Hi Kirsty,
Paying for the local payment and optionals. Everyone in my group paid in US dollars. On my trip in February. I only took $800US with me. This pretty much covered my local payment, optionals, and the clothes I bought ( I only took 12 pairs of underwear and purchased ALL my clothes in Bangkok) ,souvenirs and alcohol.- 0 people like this
