What to bring, optional extras and washing of clothes

Hey Everyone,
I know there is probably information on here in regards to what i want to know, but i have been looking for hours and only found bits and pieces of information.
I am doing the european inspiration in sept 2010, I was wondering what kind of clothing I need to bring?
will we get some kind of checklist or stuff thats been recommened to bring?
should i bring a pillow/towel?
swimmers?
also how often are we going to be able to do a load of washing? Just so i know roughly how much to pack...esp the socks and underwear.
How do you go about looking into the optional extras?
