  There is a fantastic hostel that is fairly cheap, on the corner of Spencer St and Flinders St. 2 minute walk from the infamous King St, Crown Casino, Southern Cross Railway Station and 2 Shopping Centres. The hostel has great facilities. <!--graemlin::)-->

  I’m an Aussie, was just staying in Melb for a holiday and this place was cool. It’s close to the Crown Casino, right on the tramline, and nice and new.

  I stayed earlier this year at the YHA Melbourne Central and it was wonderful. The free loop tram was outside the front door, you can buy a package with breakfast from the cafe next door, there is a bar at the hostel. it was amazing and so close to everything!
