Depends on the operator. You’ll get a rundown on what’s closed. There’ll be a mad dash to signup for any available spots for the operators that are running, otherwise it’ll be a quiet day at the hotel. You can always go for a nice hike in the hills. You can always tell your TM at the beginning of the tour that you want in on that optional (for xmas/new years) and pay to reserve your spot.
