las vegas - shoes??

Hi all,

I'm heading off on the Grand Southern this July, then off around the world for 2 months afterward...

I've been stressing a little bit about the size of my suitcase - it's very small (carry on size actually) (which I'll probably thank myself for later) and I don't think I can fit a pair of heels in!

(I'm already taking flip-flops, good walking shoes and prettier-but-still-good-for-walking flat shoes)

Do you think I could get away with a pretty pair of open toed, slingback flats in vegas, or will I feel underdressed? I'm thinking mostly in the nicer clubs here... I'm sure they'll be fine in the casinos/at shows...

Any thoughts??

  As a typical shoe loving female – i understand your concern ! Hmmm… if you could possibly fit in a pair of heels you may feel better. When i went to Vegas our tour guide took us to a nightclub which was FANTASTIC but she did encourage us to get very dressed up as she said that club owners can always turn you away. But in saying that a dressy pair of black flats would be fine too. And also walking the strip in vegas in a pair of heels is hell….im going on tour in May and will def be taking one pair of heels but also a dressy pair of flats. Up to you in the end !

  Can I suggest packing them heel packed down into the back corners of your suitcase so then the shoe sits kind of flat against the top of your luggage – I’m all for at least pair of heels if you can get away with it – or take an oversize handbag, offload something from your suitcase into it … (desperate measures!)

  yeeeesss i know …. perhaps like somebody else mentioned you could purchase over there ? but that being said on tour sometimes there is not alot of time to shop….perhaps put your shoes in your carry on luggage if you are worried ? <!--graemlin::)-->

  Don’t bother with heels.They are impractical to walk in and they hurt your feet.Instead invest in a good pair of flat leather shoes.If you still miss your heels that much there is a million shops you can get a pair from.
