Sup Contiki party people, Please answer if you're doing anyone of these tours
I'm finally living the dream of going down under so please help me out. I look forward to meeting you and sharing the adventure that Australia has to offer.
What do i do as far as cell phone service cause I have verizon so do I need a sim card ?
What kind of bag should i pack my clothes in and take with me ?

I’m not sure what Cell / Mobile reception is like in Alice Springs / Kakadu but i know in some rural areas even Australian sim cards don’t work. The best sim card for coverage / reception is a Telstra Next G sim. There are cheap phones in the Telstra Shop or supermarket for only $59. When i go on my tours i always take a suit case with wheels and a back pack as carry on… It will get dirty from the red sand – My suggestion is a hard case bag. That way you can wipe it off before you return home..I think you also picked the hottest time to come to OZ but nights can be a bit cool sometimes. I would suggest taking a light jacket / coat just in case..
