Hair Striaghtners & Dryers

13 Nov 2011 OzBob88 asked

Hi, I live in England and I am doing the Gand Southern tour in April 2012. I was just wondering if anyone from England has taken and used their hairstraightners in USA before and if they worked ok?! I heard that with the different voltage there, hairstraightners can sometimes blow up?! I have GHDs so Im not sure on whether to bring them or not. Can someone help me please, i dont really understand all this voltage stuff!!!
Thanks :)

    Hi OzBob!
Which version have you got? The newer GHDs work OK (and are designed to work on different voltages) but the older ones don’t work at all.
Hairdryers will be on the weak side and you won’t get much out of them.
