  I heard that the italian postal system isnt exactly reliable when posting from there overseas. Megs – thats the point things go missing!
  
  But Vatican City is more reliable.

  i would definately recommend sending mail from vatican city. i sent postcards from there and they made it to the US very quickly…i have heard that sending if otherwise from Rome may take some time. your best bet is to see the lovely views of Rome from the top of St. Peter’s Basilica and mail some postcards while you’re there. <!--graemlin::)-->

  i just completed the European Discovery tour and was told that postage was expensive (approximately 40 euros in geremany for 3kg back to australia). If this is any help at all.
