  Phewf I thought I was going to have to buy two new suitcases lol, and I will keep in mind that I will try and pack light but knowing me I won’t be doing that because I always have to bring my whole life with me lol

  I really wouldnèt worry about it too much. I brought my expandable suitcase on the Simply Italy tour last year, and expanded it half way through the trip and they never said anything. a few other people had expanded it at the beginning, and they were never told otherwise.
