  Trafalgar is the main stream company that is owned by the same company as Contiki and offers a similar product as Contiki, but for the older crowd.

  I haven’t toured with either, but have heard good things about G Adventures and Intrepid, which offer smaller group tours. I believe they are both more budget conscious (lower standard hotels and using local transport).

  I have done Insight which is good.It depends on what you define as older crowd.When I went to the UK in June 2011 with them We had people from 14 to god only knows what age on board and we all got along perfectly.I didn’t feel out of place once and the older lot were very accommodating towards me.I was 33.I have yet to try Trafalgar though.
