Ski Options - Queenstown - June/July NZ2012

So I am curious as to the SKI OPTION - when does it need to be paid? during the tour.
If i dont wish to do actual skiing because i am horrible at it. Can I still go up to the look out and be able to come back down after having a good photo opportunity and look up there. Also is it fun to ski there or is it a good idea to have a skiing lesson. I really suck at skiing and I am nervous about falling over etc. I really dont enjoy skiing.

welll this is possibly a little late but i have joined the Ultiate Ski NZ tour in queenstown. All my friends have told me I NEED to get lessons so i would recommend it; particularly since i haven;t skiied before. I need to pay by mid June i think. i guess u coud just go up to look. on the ther hand u could come the same time as me and we can fall together lol
