Visa Requirements for Egypt and the Nile?

Ok so for Visa info... it says on the contiki web site that the visa is obtained at the border, but when I booked it my travel agent said that the person on the other end said I had to get it before I go. Anyone been recently and able to clarify? I'm going pretty soon, and if I need to get my visa before hand, I should probably start now :)
