Do you think this is a little corny???
23 May 2008 Explorer1095870 asked
Im from California and I was thinking of bringing something small (like a keychain or something) that was California related to give to everyone. I thought it was kinda a cool idea...but then thought it was really corny...so I dunno.
Any input??

Hey!
I’m from Australia and I’m planning on taking a few little Aussie things for people that I get close to – I’ll swap groups as much as possible but I know at the end there’s sure to be one group I hang with more. I can’t imagine taking something for all 50ish people on tour though!
Anyway, moral is that it’s a quaint idea and I’ll be doing it!- 0 people like this

aaaawww thats not corny its sweet!!! It is a lot of people to buy keychains for though. In Australia we have these horendously tacky souvenier shops in the cities where you can buy a whole bag of clip on koalas cheap as, i don’t know if cali has anything similar though….

I think that is a lovely idea, personally I wouldn’t because so many people on my trip are from Australia – BUT it’s a nice thought and if I got something off someone I became friends with during the tour I would LOVE it hahaha

I got positively hooked on Tim Tams when I was in OZ.
I would buy them and pass them around on the coach so I wouldn’t eat them all! Far too tempting!!

When I did my Contiki last fall, I went to my local MP’s office(in the US they are Senators) and got a bunch of Canada pins. I also gave out my business cards, and company pens with my name on. Everyone loved them!!

Jess-ade – i’ve taken tim tams over in my luggage before. The only problem is the concern of them getting squashed or worse yet, melting.
thanks for the idea about taking gifts/treats – something i hadnt thought of. and definetly not corny!- 0 people like this
