Question

$100 + Taxes Flight to London?

6 Apr 2012 Pri asked

Hey peeps!

On the home page I saw $100 flights + taxes to London, its an option you can have if you book soon. I was just wondering if anyone has added that option to their trip, if so, how much did the total amount for the flight come up to?

I am traveling from Toronto to London so just wanted to know prices and all that jazz!

Thanks!

Pri

    Hey guys!
My last account got deleted for some reason so I am replying from my new one!
So I booked my European trip with Contiki and then added the $100+ taxes flight. I am leaving from Toronto so they got me a round trip flight for about $500-700. Don’t remember the exact amount….which is pretty good considering all flights that I researched were $1000 and above. The flights there and back are non-stop so if you have the option to add it to your tour you probably should. The only thing that kind of sucks is that I have to leave on the last day of the tour from Amsterdam not London…since the promotion can only be for 22 day tours or less…I hope that answers your questions!
    Happy travels!

oh, it only works for trips less than 22 days? well, I guess I couldn’t have done this anyways. regardless, even though my flight isnt direct, it still cost the same as your’s,weird.

Yeah its only good for trips 22 days and less…and yeah I prefer a direct flight from Toronto to London anything with stops would just make the journey longer…the ones with stops are definitely cheaper than the direct flights..soo very happy that Contiki found a direct flight for me in the price range they did…or it would have cost me about a $1000+. :)

To be honest, I’m sure you could have found a cheaper flight on your own, although it probably wouldnt have been a direct flight, but it probably wouldnt have limited you to having to leave right from Amsterdam. I originally inquired about flights through Contiki, but I was able to find flights much cheaper than what they were offering me. I found they only deal with certain airlines and thus don’t present you with all your options

I researched a ton of flights before I booked the one with Contiki…the cheapest from Toronto to London was $986 or something and with taxes it would have been around a $1000…I believe it was Air Canada. The flight that Contiki booked was with Air Transat sooo its not too bad…and I am all about direct flights when I travel…not a big fan of stop overs…lol if I could have found a cheaper direct flight I would have definitely booked it…but I don’t really mind leaving from Amsterdam…its only a few hours before everyone leaves from London…what ever saves me money is definitely a good thing! lol :)

ya, that definitely makes sense. I actually lucked out though with my flight. I collect RBC reward points and about a week before I was going to book my flight, i got an e-mail from RBC saying that they are now partnering up with Travelocity . So I was able to use my points towards a flight. Sure, it didn’t pay for the whole flight, but it gave me about $300 off!

Thats awesome dude!!! I wish I had some reward points!! lol Flights to Europe are soooo expensive from Toronto…but ahh well you can’t put a price tag on experiences! Either way so psyched for the trip!
