I believe Top Deck are cheaper. I did a little research on other companies before I chose contiki. CHEAPER DOES NOT ALWAYS MEAN BETTER!

I personally would not go with top deck because they are TOO cheap, I’m spending all this money to get over there, I want to have some kind of comfort.

Weigh up the pro’s and cons. I think contiki is the best value for money. Which is why I’m going on the Winter Wanderer Next October.

I haven’t toured with them, but have looked at them quite a bit. I ran into one of their tours in Scandinavia last year, it seemed pretty much similar to Contiki, but in Scandi there is only so much you can do when you’re staying in campites – it’s already not the fanciest tour. They did only have 14 people on their tour and our bus was full.

In general though I think topdeck is cheaper because of lower level of accomodations, especially since that’s one of the biggest factors in the price of a tour.

Both companies are going to have similar buses, you’re going to get a driver and TM with both. Clientel I think is pretty similar so the atmosphere is going to depend on the people on the tour. On their messageboards they all say they’re choosing Top Deck because they are more serious travelers, but the tour I saw was partying harder then we were.

Choose based on which tour company will meet your needs (is price more important or accomodations, etc.), and itinerary – if they offer the perfect tour for you then go with Top Deck, and vice versa.
