  Hi Duncan, my name is Kate and I am from Sydney. I am in NYC for NYE with contiki and looking at doing one of the tours after NYE. Wild Western and LA to the Bay are the two I am looking at. They are both nearly identicle. I don’t know which one to choose???? They both leave on the same day and head to the same places so I suppose they will cross over regularly. Got some decisions to make but I am glad to see someone else is going on the Wild Western hahahaha.

  Hey Kate! Yeah I had a look at that one too. I liked the wild western one because it returns you back to L.A and they take you down the coast which would be beautiful regardless of the weather. Although thinking about it, they might merge the 2 tours together and then split in San Fran? Who knows :) I swear if Aussies didn’t go on Contiki their business would fail hehe :P hopefully seeya out there

I am going to be in New York for NYE but not with contiki but I am going to be doing the California Highlights from Vegas to LA around the same time, I am joining the tour in vegas on 8 jan. I did the winter wild western last year and they merge 4 tours – wild western, la to the bay, western highlights and california highlights… so who knows i might see you guys on the road at some point. haha yes if it wasn’t for aussies, contiki would have failed! i love contiki haha this is going to be my 4th one :)

  I’m going on the the California Highlights leaving Vegas on Jan 8 as well, as far as I’ve heard its a massive tour with heaps of people with three tours going on the one bus. It’s a week ahead of yours Dunc. Have heard the casino/hotel at Lake Tahoe is ordinary (no table games in the ‘casino’) but the rest of the tour is amazing. Doing the Grand Canyon seperately before the tour as we’ve got three nights in Vegas pre-tour.

  I have been thinking about doing this tour since early May and I have just gone on to book it and it is completely FULL!!! Procrastination has not worked in my favour. I am doing the NyE in NYC tour so I needed to be on the tour that left on the 9th. The other options I was also looking at are also full. Must be a popular tour I guess!
